The Arenal Volcano erupted in 1968 after
400 years of inactivity and is considered one
of the 10 most active volcanoes in the
world. The summit is generally shrouded in clouds.

Iguanas are common as are the Common Basilisk
also known as the
Jesus Christ lizard because they can run
across the surface of the water.
This is a sloth. We don't know if
it is a two-toed or three-toed sloth.
We also have no idea which end is the
front.
The Anhinga is also known as the Snake-Bird.
Coincidentally, the only
snake we saw was being eaten by an Anhinga
